I had a vocabulary workbook around my early teens or so that focused on teaching you a bunch of common Latin and Greek roots, on the grounds that you would then stand a better chance at successfully guessing your way through unfamiliar English words. They had a point.

Comfortable In Skin was the preferred backronym last we heard. Admittedly, we haven't heard anyone explicitly state that this is what "cis" is short for in a while; just occasionally run into people capslocking it.
