random thought that works like Your Turn to Die and Circle, with the premise of "buncha people locked in a box and forced to vote off who dies every round, and no you can't cleverdick your way out of this" could be read as an indictment of democracy/electoralism/voting

Naturally, YTTD is a very popular model for roleplay groups.

I'm only familiar with Circle, but tbh it felt like the sort of thing you can interpret as making any point you care to and ultimately just says "wow, wouldn't it be fucked up if this happened"

Maybe! We've only really got the most passing familiarity with either of them; pretty sure we only heard about YTTD for its popularity in our Danganronpa-like RP groups, and Circle for its similarity to YTTD.

And apparently YTTD isn't even finished, so that makes analysis kinda difficult, one imagines.
