Guess I should, like, actually post here more often so people know I'm alive (metaphorically; I don't think there's any worry about me literally dying anytime soon), but I never really grasped the whole "writing in a journal" thing

Like you're supposed to write about your life or whatever but it always feels like my life is completely uneventful and the only things that occupy my interest are the distractions from my uneventful reality

I don't even have a cat :c

I think it's also considered reasonable to just put your thoughts on something when you have thoughts you want to share, rather than stuff you actually do. So tell us about all the finest distractions from uneventful reality!

There are all kinds of reasons to use a journal! I recommend picking a few and running with them.

- Imagine you are 90 years old and looking back. What do you want to know about your life from June 2021?
- What new truths have your meditations brought to you recently?
- Find getting-to-know-you questions and answer them to explore who you are.
- Turn your unproductive worries into plans. Can you make a Xanatos Gambit?
- Is there anything you have been reading/watching/doing lately about which you have Thoughts? Plz share.
- Gratitude journaling and remembrances of things that brought you joy
- What sucktastic things have you overcome, and how? Draw a map for others who may have to walk in your shoes one day.
- Creative writing prompts? Yes.
- Shitposting! Randomness! CHAOS!
- Deconstruct your thoughts to bring clarity to your values and your priorities.
- probably so many more things that I am missing rn
